One small step for man...

…one giant leap for Matt.

Today was my last day at work, and it was really weird saying goodbye to the lads. I ended up staying an extra hour as we just chatted about life, work, the past and the future. My Gran last night pointed out that I will have worked there for exactly one year, which is an odd realisation. I wish all the best for the team, and I’m going to keep in touch (after all, someone has to make sure Tim doesn’t lose his edge) smiley icon: wink

Tonight is also the last night I will be sleeping in this house as a permanent resident, and that in itself feels a little odd. Of course, what’s more immediately concerning is that I’ve still to pack my computer away and get the family PC sorted out. I leave home tomorrow morning!
While I’m talking about computery things I ought to point out that I’m going to be off-line for a bare minimum of a week, and more than likely two or three weeks. It depends how soon I can move into the flat, and how quickly I can get Broadband installed. And if I have a monitor to plug into the computer. If I’m lucky I’ll be able to drop by my ‘regular’ haunts and say hello via the work computers, and if I’m very lucky I might get to update this site from there too. Don’t worry if mw.net sees a tumble-weed or two for a short time though - I will be back.

For now however, I bid you farewell, and I’ll catch you on the flip side. This is Apollo Matt, signing off.

“One small step…” I like that, I’ll have to use that one myself (Winking face). You were a good sport Matt - I tried to break you but you faught well. Do that in life and you’ll get that Trans Am before long.

Here’s to long chats, long silences, The Very Best of Euphoria, a Brief History of Time and “another coffee Mr Tim” - Thanks Googley Bear.

P.S. That Googley Bear reference is gonna take some explaining to your mates.

    About Googley Bear:
See ‘Monsters Inc’ while baring in mind that Tim really liked his coffee, and I was the maker of said coffee.

I think there’s a level of obsession there actually, baring in mind his nick “The Scream Extractor” is also a line from that film.
