Photography Society sunday lunch
I’ve had a few photo’s sitting around waiting to be uploaded, and after Sunday’s trip out for lunch and a walk-about with the Photography Society I thought now would be a good time to catch up and post them.
A few of these photo’s are a couple of months old now, from when I was walking around Llandudno while it was still sunny after work. The rest are from last Sunday’s meeting, where we had a Sunday lunch and a walk-about. It was a very pleasant afternoon meeting lots of new people and generally being a bit nerdy with camera’s. The equipment brought along ranged from an old dual-lens Russian thing using square film and a weird quasi-3D viewfinder, to a top end Canon DSLR with an L-glass image-stabilisation equipped 300mm zoom lens.
After a pleasant meal, chat, and walk along the pier we had scones and tea, then wandered to the dark-room. The dark-room is like something from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, or Harry Potter. You walk to the uni, go into the grotty basement/garage area, unlock a door in what seems like a wall - and find a tiny dark-room smelling of chemicals and sitting in 30 degree heat. It seemed very surreal and had us wondering what else might be hidden around there. From there Ben, Hannah, and myself went for a swift drink at Yellow before parting ways for the evening.

I think you mean a TLR Jimi?
The nerd in me tried to work out what it was from the photo in your set, but it looks more like a nice Rollei instead of the shonky plastic (but still ace!) Lubitel I have…
Can't believe you have access to a darkroom… lucky get!
