Adobe Apollo is now Adobe AIR

A rename and a new beta, Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) allows web developers to create desktop applications using their XHTML/JavaScript/CSS and Flash skills.

I’ve not toyed with it yet, and to be entirely honest I’m not seeing all that much point to it. The theory is great, but I’ve seen no useful applications of the technology. Just a few pointless widgets. Now, when I see a CMS written in it, or something else that’s actually useful - then I’ll be impressed.
