Thoughts on Mozilla

Chris Messina gives some very interesting thoughts about Mozilla and his concerns for the future.

I watched the 50min video, and I happen to agree with pretty much everything said in it. For those that don’t want to spend 50min listening, there is a succinct text summary below the video.

He’s also apprehensive about HTML5, XHTML2, XFORMS, etc. And I share his concerns about how these things are potentially fragmenting the web. I think many people who work in the web industry are getting concerned with the direction the web, the technologies, browser manufacturers, and open source are all headed (or not headed, in some cases).
