Outlook 2007 ditches support for most CSS.

Thanks to apparent insanity, Outlook 2007 will take Email design back a good five years. Stupidity at the top, or a dumb move to kill of the competition?

Yes, Outlook 2007 will render HTML Emails far worse than Outlook 2003 - because it now uses the Word render engine, which doesn’t support a huge swath of the most important CSS properties. You’re going to need to design with table layouts and cut-up graphics all over again…

And just as we thought they finally understood standards compliance.
