A brief update on the re-design

My re-design of this website is coming along nicely. The database is all sorted out (but empty so far), and the XHTML/CSS is nearing completion. Once that’s done I’ll be writing the PHP for the front end, which will probably take a couple of days and then I’ll write some import scripts to shunt all the data from my current database into the new one - I will very likely be taking the site offline while that last part is happening. After that I have to re-structure the file-system on the server and I ought to be able to get the new version uploaded and running fairly swiftly. I’m hoping the site will be down for less than an evening.
