Adobe unveils plans for two editions of Photoshop CS3

Not content with announcing that Adobe plan to make an announcment, they’ve also gone and told us what part of that announcement will be about. Specifically, there are to be two versions of Photoshop CS3. Fortunately they do not mean a cut down ‘Elements’ style versioning system, but rather the other way around. Photoshop CS3 will be exactly what we were all expecting. Photoshop CS3 Extended will have all sorts of new stuff but all of that ‘new stuff’ is aimed entirely at better integration into 3D and Video work-flow for 3D and Video authors. So, don’t panic - there’s no ‘cheap and cheerful’ vs ‘the good one’ issue here. Well, unless you do video and 3D anyway.
